Trip to Big Bear

Happy Hump Day! We are halfway through the week. Wahoo! I traveled to Big Bear a few months ago for my boyfriends birthday which was a last minute trip and wanted to share a little recap of it. I grew up in Orange County as a little girl and would always go up to Big Bear during the winter but since I moved to the desert I haven’t been there since so I was super excited to go back and check it out. But guys, seriously wow. What a beautiful place to travel to. The weather was so perfect and had so many beautiful sight-seeing spots to go to. We were there for 5 days, which was a perfect amount of time to take everything in.

Activities

We went on a hike up a huge mountain to see if we could find some cool animals as well as enjoy the beautiful scenery and that was such a fun time! Unfortunately, we didn’t see anything but it was still definitely worth it.

Since many of you guys don’t know much about my boyfriend he definitely is a outdoorsy guy! Fishing is like the top on his list so it was a given that we had to go fishing. Since we went when it wasn’t warm yet, the water was still too cold to go swimming in so I was bundled up in a blanket the whole time watching him fish. For some reason fishing freaks me out! LOL

We took a drive uptown and walked around and saw so many cute little shops! I love seeing coffee shops other than Starbucks sometimes, ya know? I am not a huge coffee fan but when I go to coffee places I typically get tea cause how can I not get anything. 🙂

Accommodations

During our trip we stayed in a cabin that was absolutely breathtaking! The views from where the house was located was incredible and the decor inside the home made you feel so cozy! It had an enormous kitchen so as you guys know i’m obsessed with cooking, you can imagine how happy I was!

Let me tell you, from growing up in the desert my whole life and not being around a lot of greenery, you cherish the mountains and green scenery wherever you go!

I hope you guys enjoyed my Travel guide and please tell me some cool places you have gone to so that I can put it on my list of places to go! As always, thank you for reading and sharing!
